David Hook: David Hook, the Managing Director at Baymark Partners, has been at the forefront of the firm's strategy in leveraged recapitalizations and management buyouts, targeting high-growth and middle-market companies. Over the last 15 years, his guidance has led to the acquisition of 60 companies and supported the firm's investment in over 50 early-stage tech companies. Several have achieved IPOs, and five have been sold for more than $165 million each. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, David started his higher education at Bowling Green State University, then transferred to Wittenberg University, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He continues to share his wealth of knowledge by guest lecturing to MBA students at Southern Methodist University, focusing on entrepreneurship. A seasoned expert in business finance, he serves on the Southwest Venture Forum Steering Committee and actively participates in the DFW Private Equity Forum, advising startups on strategic financial practices. His strategic decision to move to Silicon Valley in the 1980s positioned him to make impactful early investments in major tech companies and to co-found the first Hook Partners Fund.
